Both Bang Bang and Haider are set to lead in second week as new releases all are big disappointments. However both film are certain to register reasonable drop in collection on 2nd Friday which may not be a good thing to start of. As from early reports both film have seen drop in the region of 40% from 2nd Thursday which is big considering there is no major release this week. Now its upto 2nd Saturday and 2nd Sunday where we hope that film shows decent to good jump, so that both can put decent 2nd weekend at box office.
Bang Bang has collected nearly 135 crore nett in first week (8 days). Collections are good, but considering the business of first 4-5 days, it should have easily been more. Anyways hope that film shows good jump through second weekend and then sustains well through the weekdays. Ideally film should aim for 20 crore nett second weekend, which is a bare minimum. But realistically that might be little bit out of reach. A 15 crore nett weekend is very much on, and if film shows good jump then it may go near 20 also.
Haider is trending well but problem is film had just decent collection in week one. And also, it registered reasonable drop on 2nd Friday. Film needs big jump on 2nd Saturday and 2nd Sunday to put up decent numbers for second weekend. Film has collected over 40 crore nett in week one (8 days). Ideally film needs a 9-10 crore nett 2nd weekend which is again a big ask. That means film will need big push through the coming weekend. Realistically film is looking to collect around 6-7 crore nett in second weekend and that might be little below the expected level as far as distributors recovery is concerned.
