Mary Kom has started better on Saturday (2nd day) at box office from Friday as far as multiplexes are concerned. Film has seen a growth of 25-30% from first day and at places jump is even more than that. Concern for film is the weak performance in single screen in interiors mainly. Hope word of mouth picks up the business there also.
Mary Kom has started on 35-40% occupancy in Morning shows on Saturday in plexes. Occupancy for the Noon shows is around 45% which is again a jump of 20% from Morning shows. When Noon shows of Saturday is compared to Friday then jump is about 30% which is very good.
Mary Kom is doing exceptionally well in Gurgaon with occupancy in the region of 65-70% registered there for Noon shows. For the same occupancy in Delhi is around 45% which is again good. Mumbai is little lower on with occupancy of around 35%.
As tomorrow is Sunday, film should show further jump in Evening and Night shows. Film has collected a decent 7.5-8 crore nett for first day and looking at trends film should put up much better numbers for day two. Major single screen report for the day is yet to be received, but it should be on par or better than Friday as yesterday collections were on lower side. Overall film should at least show a jump of 20% from day one looking at trends.
