Mary Kom First Day Collection Early Trends

Mary Kom is released today at box office and is doing pretty well specially in high end multiplexes in metros and other big cities. Reports from interior is that film is slow there, but chances of picking up through the weekend.

Mary Kom is doing well in multiplexes on day one as film is released in wide screens and still garnering decent occupancy. Film opened to around 30-35% occupancy in Morning shows and after that showed little jump through the day. Film showed 10-15% growth in Noon shows when compared to Morning. As for latest film is currently registering good occupancy of around 45-50% in multiplexes. Single screen is also registering decent occupancy in the range of 30-40% from whatever reports are received till last.
Film is doing well in big cities, but is little slow in interiors. Hope word of mouth picks up and film does good business there also.

Coming to film first day performance it can be touted good considering film had lead star cast in Priyanka Chopra only. Plus, film is released in wide no. of screens and hence, present occupancy can be said as good as today is also normal working day. Film should show definite jump on Saturday and Sunday.

Occupancy Report for Friday Evening shows (Multiplexes Only) -

Delhi - 50% [30-35% M]
Gurgaon - 55-60% [30-35% M]
Mumbai - 40-45% [30% M]

M = Morning shows.
