Mary Kom has shown good jump again on Sunday (3rd day) and is set to collect around 11-12 crore nett for the day looking at the early trends.
Film in fact started better than both Friday and Saturday in Morning shows. After that film registered good occupancy in the region of around 55-60% in multiplexes in Noon-Afternoon shows. Film showed further jump in Evening shows and registered huge occupancy of around 70%+ in multiplexes specially in metros and big cities.
Film did slow down in Night shows as expected as tomorrow is Monday but still registering good occupancy in the region of 50-60%+.
Coming to single screens, film performed better than both previous two days, which is good news. Although major report from interiors is still awaited and hence, final figure may vary from the estimates.
Occupancy Report for Sunday Evening Shows -
Delhi - 75-80%
Gurgaon - 80-85%
Mumbai - 60-65%
Mary Kom first weekend collection is now heading for 28-29+ crore nett mark which is just fantastic. If major single screen across India performs well for the day then there are chances that film might even challenge 30 crore nett mark. Film is without doubt biggest opener among all female centric films. It is upto the weekdays now which will ensure whether film is holding well or not. Start of the film has ensured that it will be a success at box office, but if film sustains well from Monday, then will be heading for a Big Hit in coming days.
