Daawat-e-Ishq has collected around 20.5-20.75 crore nett in First Week. Film performed poorly in week 1 despite having good star value and screen count across India. Film under-performed in first weekend and showed normal trending in weekdays on lower level. Film in fact collected nearly 14 crore nett in opening weekend which is much below expected level. Rest around 7 crores are accumulated in weekdays which is again on lower side. Many in trade expected a business of Daawat-e-Ishq in the region of 30-35 crore nett at least for week one and hence, just estimated how much below the mark it is performing at the moment.
Khoobsurat had a decent first week at box office, although still business should have been better as just another 6 six days are left to collect as much as possible. Khoobsurat has collected around 18.25-18.5 crore nett in week one which is strictly ok. Another 2-3 crores would have been nice though still it is on expected level considering film had face value in Sonam Kapoor only. Film collected around 11.5 crore nett in opening weekend and added another 7 crore nett in weekdays which suggest at least trending of the film is decent.
Both films has another 6 days to do business as much as possible as Bang Bang and Haider are getting released on 2nd October. After that there is little scope for more numbers as screens will be snatched by those two big releases.
