MO'HIT' SURI - The Present HIT machine. The Expectations ahead.

Bhatt camp always promotes new talents. Whether it is for lead pair or the director they never back out from launching them. In Emraan Hashmi they found a responsible strong lead actor for a long years but in directorial department they got a bummer when Vikram Bhatt left the camp for another production house. They tried their luck in Jannat director Kunal Deshmukh or Hasnain-Raksha or Vishal Mahadkar none proved their mettle. Kunal saw a moderate success with his Jannat movies but did not win the heart for sure. Hence the Bhatt honchos came into the field to find a new captain. Thus they got Mohit Suri. After his first venture in Zeher, Bhatts definitely saw a new muse in Mohit. Mohit is the son of Bhatts' sister. He initially assisted Vikram Bhatt in Kasoor, Footpath etc.

Before witnessing the success of Zeher, Mohit had been given the responsibility to complete the few portions of the unfinished film of ailing Anurag Bose's Tumsa Nahin Dekha. The film did not do well and the best part is it did not effect the confidence of Suri. After Zeher he gave us 'Woh Lamhe' which showcased the taboo love story of Mahesh Bhatt and Parveen Babi followed by Kalyug, Awarapan. These films not only stopped the fumbling Bhatt camps (Vishesh Films) but gave a respite of an anguish. Mohit started garnering his own brand with each new film he directing.

The smooth run saw its doomsday when 'Crook' came. It went as one of the worst films of that year but that did not stop the eminency he got. The bustle of innovations which he had in his mind is definitely flourishing. He is the only director of bollywood who took the onus of directing three sequels of three different movies and all are vastly successful though Raaz-the mystery continues is not upto its prequel but rest two Murder-2 and Aashiqui-2 are definitely cope up with its first parts.

Currently Mohit is enjoying his blockbuster new film 'Ek Villain' which he made with Balaji films and with this film Mohit proved that he can be successful if he does films for other production houses than Bhatts. His last three films' (Murder-2, Aashiqui-2 and Ek Villain) blockbuster success definitely crowned him as the new 'Hit' machine of bollywood and the outstanding music in his every film is the key of its success. Seeing the thrive of this 33 years old, all the leading production houses are groping for him right now.

Mohit Suri is competent, endearing, impulsive and down to earth. These are the reasons behind his growth of his popularity. His upcoming films are 'Humaari Adhuri Kahaani' with Vishesh films starring Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan and another one with Dharma productions which rumoured to be the remake of The Intouchables.

What we like most in Mohit Suri films:-

Mohit got married with his Zeher actress Udita Goswami on January 2013 and we heard they are expecting their first child. We wish them all the best.

  1. Mohit Suri is one of my favourite director and has improved with every film.awwarapan was decent,raaz2 was extremely thrilling but let down big time by climax,murder2 was good but again very ordinary climax .all this flawed but decent mvz finally led to back to back two very good films-aashiqui2 and ek villain that deservingly became blockbusters.

  2. u kidding right...he is not the hit machine..u should have said copy machine...because he copied movies....like ek villain from i saw the devil...no plz dnt give me that bullsh*t that it was inspired...
