Kick (2014) Music Review.

With big films comes huge music expectations. Same goes for Kick (2014) Movie which is a Mega Eid release this year. Kick theatrical trailer has garnered positive response all across all corners. With music of film out, let's do the music review to check whether humongous music expectations are met or not.

Starcast - Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Randeep Hooda.
Music - Himesh Reshammiya, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Meet Bros Anjjan.
Lyrics - Kumaar, Shabbir Ahmed, Mayur Puri.
Directed By - Sajid Nadiadwala.

1. Jumme Ki Raat - Jumme Ki Raat video track is already out and is already a rage. Song is sung by Mika Singh and supported well by Palak Muchhal. Music is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and he is back to form with this track. Lyrics by Kumaar and Shabbir Ahmed is first rated. Mika does what he is best and doesn't disappoints a bit. Jumme Ki Raat relives famous 'Jumma Chumma' song from Hum, but its fresh, original and different. Overall it is a nice dance number with clubs, discos set to play it for long time in coming days. It will be a riot in single screens. Thumbs up.

There are other versions of Jumme Ki Raat - Salman Version, Remix 1 and Remix 2. Do listen to it if you are further interested for different version of it.

2. Hangover - Hangover is sung by Salman Khan and Shreya Ghoshal. Salman pleasantly surprises all with his beautiful singing. Guess, what this man can't do. He should sing more. His voice is melodious to core. Shreya Ghoshal sings well as usual and voice is soothing to ear. Music is composed by Meet Bros Anjjan. Definitely romantic number of the album. Meet Bros in prime form with this track. Lyrics by Kumaar is fantastic. Track grows on you with every hearing and is fresh. Must Listen.

There are other versions of Hangover - MBA Swag and Remix. Do listen to it if you are already in hangover of the original one.

3.a. Tu Hi Tu - Tu Hi Tu music is composed by Himesh. Song is sung by Mohd Irfan. Soft and melodious track of the album. Its fresh and soothing to ear. Kudos to Mohd Irfan for his singing and his stature goes one notch higher with this track. This is second track of Himesh in the film and he is rocking. Lyrics by Mayur Puri is fantastic. With video release of the song, it will grow even more among the audiences for sure. Must Listen.

3.b. There is other Tu Hi Tu reprise version of this song sung by Neeti Mohan (reprise). Honestly Neeti is excellent with this number and her singing is melodious to ears. Hope her reprise version stays in the film as she has just nailed it. Personally I found Neeti's one the best. Must Listen.

3.c. There is Salman version of Tu Hi Tu. Looks like Salman has taken his singing seriously now. He sings well again and sounds soothing to ears despite no training of singing. Kudos to him. Thumbs up.

There are three other versions of Tu Hi Tu - House mix, Remix 1 and Remix 2.

4. Yaar Naa Mile Te - Music is composed by Yo Yo Honey Singh. Sung by Jasmine Sandlas and Honey Singh. This is an energetic number sung by Jasmine and she is electric. Honey Singh is at his usual best with his hip hop. Looks a  party anthem in clubs and discos. Lyrics given by Honey Singh and Jasmine Sandlas is average though. Will be a rage definitely in certain places of India if not all. Overall good. Do listen.

Verdict - Tu Hi Tu and Hangover grows on you and will stay for a long time. Both are soft, melodious and soothing to ears. Jumme Ki Raat is definitely a chartbuster in coming days. Yaar Naa MIle Te might be received with mixed feedback though. Kick album looks like a complete masala fare with nice mix of songs. Just felt another 1 or 2 songs would have been icing on the cake. Anyways whatever there in the album is its good.

Ratings - 4/5. Kick music is good. Its an all rounder music album. Plus, now we know Salman is a Singer!
