Will Akshay Kumar's Holiday Spin Magic at Box Office?

Holiday - A Soldier is Never Off Duty is sort of a comeback for Akshay 'Khiladi' Kumar to rule the hearts of India after a long long Rowdy time. Written word 'Comeback' because we all lovers of Akshay Kumar is badly waiting for a film of 'Akki' which has taken box office by storm. That was happened last time with Rowdy Rathore (2012), biggest Hit of Akshay till date.

Akshay Kumar in 2012 after giving two biggest grosser of the year in Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2 (both 100 crores) and another Super Successful Oh My God had a subdued 2013 in Special 26, OUATIMD (Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbaai Dobara) and Boss. Plus he had another two failures in Joker (2012) and Khiladi 786 (2012). That means in last of his 8 films starting with Housefull 2, Akshay has delivered only 3 Hits (Rowdy Rathore, Oh My God and Housefull 2) and one Semi Hit in Special 26. What's more his last 6 releases (Joker, Oh My God, Khiladi 786, Special 26, OUATIMD, Boss) has failed to touch magical 100 crore nett also.

Once, Akshay Kumar was giving run for money to Khan Trio (Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh) & a certain Hrithik and now is being challenged by Ranbir, Ranveer, Aditya, Arjun, Varun, Sidharth and Co.

Yes, Hit is a Hit, but more than that even after having massive following across the Globe, just a Hit is not enough for Akshay Kumar. He has to deliver big grosser and that is much expected from him. With cynics and critics trying to gun him down every day, time has come to deliver again. With Holiday we hope Akshay is back to his peak form. Film such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag or a Ram Leela or a 2 States, have gone on to touch 100 crore at box office and made '100' just a norm for big film in today's time, hope Holiday marches ahead of all these and returns all the pride and sanity back. There is no denying on the massive following 'Akki' has, but stats do matter in long run.

What's going for Holiday:

1. It is been long wait for all Akshay Kumar Fans and they are not used to it. So, they are eager to watch Holiday as they are thirst of seeing their Hero in Silver Screen for a long time.
2. 14 days of free run at box office, which is a rarity nowadays.
3. Good storyline as film is a remake of Tamil 'Thuppakki' and that was good.
4. Return of A.R. Murugadoss of 'Ghajini' fame as he is well respected as a great director.

Finally hope that Holiday not only touches 100 crore at Indian Box Office, but also beats Jai Ho to be the biggest grosser of the year for time being. If that happens sanity will prevail. Anything more that that will be icing on the cake for sure. Hope smile is back on face of all Akshay Kumar fans, which is long due. Let's hope that our Hero Rises from ashes like a phoenix!

Holiday Releases on 6th June, 2014 across India.
