Ek Villain starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor is releasing tomorrow at box office and is set for strong start. Film will be a big release with screens touching nearly 2700-2800+ screen across India. Screens are still getting locked and hence, numbers may come higher. Film has already garnered enough pre-hype specially in metros and big cities because of its good music. Hence, film should start strong there. As for interiors 1st day (Friday) collection will be on lower side and if content is liked then it should show good growth on 2nd day (Saturday) and 3rd day (Sunday).
As we got the advance booking report of the film from selected cinemas in Delhi and Mumbai it is decent for Friday (First Day). In Delhi around 17% tickets are already Sold Out, whereas in Mumbai around 18% tickets are Sold Out for opening day in selected cinemas already. With still one day to go advances will gain momentum further for sure. That means film should have a decent opening of 30-40% for opening day, which will be good considering tomorrow is working day.
Ek Villain film cost is moderate in the range of INR 40 crore. A large chunk of money is already recovered from non-theatrical revenues like Satelite rights, Music rights, Home video and others. Rest of the investment should be recovered by the film in first weekend if all goes well. That means film will be into profits in 1st week itself, unless something untoward happens and film crashes from day one itself. So, right now everything going well for Ek Villain and another winner at box office is on its way.
