Sonam Kapoor Bags Dream Role in Sooraj Barjatya's Next opposite Salman Khan

So, it is confirmed that Sonam Kapoor 'Raanjhanaa Girl' is in all likelihood is the leading lady of Salman Khan - Sooraj Barjatya's next. With this months of speculations that who is doing Sooraj Barjatya's next is coming to an end. 

Sooraj was looking for Deepika Padukone as leading lady in the film, but as dates clashed mega casting of Salman - Deepika didn't happen again. Also, there is news that Salman was interested in casting Daisy Shah of 'Jai Ho' for the role, but Sooraj has restrained for that casting. Finally Sonam bagged the dream role. Actually Sonam is very close to Salman which also favoured for her choice in the film.

Sonam herself confirms, “I was in negotiations with Soorajji for the last four months. We’ve finally worked out all the modalities.And, yes I am doing the film. I’ll be getting into the film as soon as I finish shooting Arbaaz Khan’s Dolly Ki Doli.” 

The actress who went into the next level of her career last year with her career defining performance in Aanand Rai’s Raanjhanaa says she is really excited about the challenge. “I’ve grown up watching Soorajji’s films. To be actually working in his film is a very exciting prospect for me. It’s doubly exciting as I’ll get to star with Salman Khan for the second time.” Sonam started her career with Salman Khan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya. She recalls the association with much fondness. “People seem to remember that I was paired with Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya. They forget my character was actually in love with Salman. In fact my character chose in the end to go with Salman rather than Ranbir. Salman and I had shot together for Saawariya for thirty days.”

Also, it is reported that Neil Nitin Mukesh is in front run for bagging the younger brother role of Salman Khan in the film. However confirmation is still awaited for that update.
