Both Singh Saab The Great and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein is registering jump on Sunday at box office. However will that be enough to save the film, only time will tell.
Coming to Singh Saab The Great, film is doing pretty well in Northern Belt. However in rest of India it is just average. Film is registering occupancy in the range of 45% across India on Sunday till last report. In Delhi and Gurgaon film is registering occupancy in the range of 45-50%. In Mumbai film is registering occupancy in the range of 40%. Film is doing pretty ok in single screen which is a good news. Coming to box office collection film has collected around 9.5 crore nett as per estimates. Film is heading for a opening weekend collection of 16 crore nett range. Collections may come out little higher or lower depending on the later part of the day. Ideally film should have done at least business of 20 crore nett range in the selected screens it got this week. However reports of the film is positive and there are chances that film might trend well in weekdays.
As for Gori Tere Pyaar Mein, film is absolutely rejected in first two days. However film is doing well specially in leading multiplexes across India on Sunday as per early trends. There it is registering occupancy in the range of as high as 50-60%. But film is a non-starter in interiors and single screens. Film has collected over 5 crore nett in first two days. Film will at most touch 9-10 crore nett in the opening weekend which is much below the expected lines. Film is from Karan Johar production house and it stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles. Such box office numbers are really setback for the makers right now.
