Both Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and Singh Saab The Great has taken slow start at box office on Friday. Both film has opened to low numbers, but has picked up through the day. However growth is moderate not huge one.
GTPM is slow in all India multiplexes with occupancy in the range of 30-35% on average for the day. Film opened to 25% occupancy in Morning shows and there is further growth of 10-15% through the day till now. Film has started slowly in single screens also and there is no big jump reported till now. Film is also released in limited screens because of other releases and will need good jump in Evening and Night shows on specially on Saturday and Sunday for a decent first weekend numbers.
SSTG is on the other hand is rocking in few places, whereas mediocre in rest of India. Film has managed to decent occupancy in places in Northern Part of India, UP, Bihar and Rajasthan. Whereas in Rest of India film occupancy is mediocre level. Film is however doing good in single screens, whereas below par in multiplexes. Overall film occupancy is around 35-40% on average. Another big problem for SSTG is that it has got fewer screens of the new releases. However better performance of the film in Northern Part may take it ahead of GTPM in First Day Count. Overall both new release first day numbers are in tenderhook and needs good jump through the opening weekend.
