Boss has taken a very good start at the box office on Opening Day specially at Single Screens all Over India. Film has opened to 70-80% occupancy in Single Screens and sustained well through the day till now. However multiplexes are on little lower side with occupancy on average for the day is around 40%.
As for Multiplexes report, Boss has started slowly there with 35% occupancies in Morning shows. However film has also picked up well in plexes and reporting around 40% occupancy for Noon and Afternoon shows. Occupancy should be 50%+ for Evening and Rest of the shows for today as decent advance booking report is coming in.
Coming to Single Screen Boss is performing extremely well in all mass dominated centers. Single Screen are rocking in CP Berar, CI, Rajasthan, UP, Bihar. Around 70-80%+ occupancy is reported till last report. Many Housefull shows are reported also in Single Screen. No doubt going by trend Boss has taken 2nd biggest opening in Single Screen after Chennai Express.
However for Boss to collect a good first day number it has to do well in multiplexes also as it is big release there. Good news is that occupancy is picking up in plexes and audience feedback is good. Though it is still early days to make any predictions but a 15+ crore nett collection for first day is truly on. Even a 16-17+ looks a realistic possibility if Multiplex performs well in rest of the day shows. Whether it can touch or near around 20 crore nett mark only time will tell. Anyways Boss has started well on Opening Day, which means half the battle won for the makers and distributors.
