2013 is been a big year in Bollywood with many films going on to become Monster Hits at box office. Chennai Express surpassed 200 crore barrier and went on to collect 220 crore nett at box office. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Race 2, Aashiqui 2, Grand Masti were some of the other prominent Big Hits of the year. So, how will the Last Quarter of 2013 will End?
Last Quarter of 2013 has some of the fabulous line up of films. October starts with Besharam (Starring Ranbir Kapoor) and end with Boss (Starring Akshay Kumar). Buzz of both the films are great and both film expects to collect 100 crore at least at box office. Anything less than that will be touted as a failure in expectation. Ranbir Kapoor has joined the league of A-List stars and his stardom can't be stated as fluke with back to back 100 crore films in Barfi! and YJHD. As for Akshay Kumar he has a point to prove with Boss as no film of his has entered 100 crore in 2013. 2012 has been fruitful for Akshay as he had monster hits in Rowdy Rathore and Housefull 2. Hope 'Khiladi' magic shines again with Boss.
November starts with Krrish 3 (Starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra) and Hrithik will be seen in Big Screen after a big gap from Agneepath days. There is a lot riding on Krrish 3 with huge budget to be recovered. Krrish 3 will not look for 100 crore and in fact realistically anything less than 150 crore will be seen as a failure for the film with such humongous investment riding on the film. Few in trade are expecting Krrish 3 to be the 2nd film of the year to touch or cross 200 crore nett barrier. November will also see release of Ram Leela (Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh), Bullet Raja (Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha) and Gori Tere Pyaar Main (Kareena Kapoor Khan, Imran Khan). These films are also big and can surprise many with performing on par or above many touted biggies of the year.
December will start with Rambo (R....) Rajkumar (Starring Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha) which can surprise a few by performing well at box office. But definitely the year will end with Dhoom 3 (Starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan). Dhoom 3 is the biggest film of the year starring Aamir Khan in a full blown commercial role, with Katirna Kaif adding the glamour quotient in the film. Abhishek Bachchan will also aim to end the year on a high with the film. Dhoom 3 is also touted by trade as film to surpass 200 crore nett barrier. Even for Dhoom 3 anything less than 150 crore nett at Indian Box Office will be touted as failure of expectation.
So, with such exciting line up, just imagine how will be the last quarter of 2013 for Bollywood. Also, there are many more prominent releases which we have not mentioned and from them definitely few will again surprise us with its box office performance.
