So, here is the latest update on Chennai Express Sunday (Third Day) collections at Indian Box Office. Film has started Sunday with bang registering 80% occupancy all across India. After that film has sustained well through the day. From the latest report coming in from afternoon and evening shows, CE has registered an excellent occupancy of around 85-90% on average across all India. Which suggest that Chennai Express is now running in a bullet train mode and heading for a huge Sunday. Thus, it will also create a new opening weekend record at box office. In fact, opening weekend record of Dabangg 2 is broken on Saturday night itself by this record express.
Chennai Express has registered an occupancy of 85% in Delhi City for afternoon and evening shows (78% in morning shows). Although major single screen reports are still to be received. But whatever is heard from samples it is also damn good. Right now it is too early to make any statements on Sunday collection of CE. But from early trends Chennai Express is heading for a figure in the vicinity of 28-30 crore nett. If reports are excellent for night shows, then it may even go up, who knows.
Chennai Express is heading for the fastest 100 record which is held by Ek Tha Tiger of 5 days. Whether Chennai Express collects it on Sunday Night or Monday Morning, still it will be a new record as it will be done in 3+ to 4+ days if we include the Thursday Paid Preview shows.
