Chennai Express has again taken a fantastic start on 2nd day at box office. Film has again opened to 70% occupancy on Saturday in Morning and Noon shows. It is to be noted that CE has recorded historic collection on Friday and to emulate that it will be tough and nearly impossible. We will check whether the film can sustain well on Saturday or not.
Chennai Express has opened to 60% occupancy in Delhi which is pretty good and on similar trend as Friday Morning shows. In Gurgaon CE has opened to 85% occupancy which is again on similar trend to Friday numbers. Mumbai city is little lower in comparison to Friday. Still it has embarked very good 65-70% opening all over the city despite big screening. CE is again historic in Hyderabad with 95%+ occupancy reported. Hyderbad registered around 97-98%+ occupancy on Friday.
So, from above comparison we can easily state that Chennai Express is sustaining pretty well on Saturday. If later half of the day is excellent and if Single Screens perform well to its potential then expect huge number for Saturday also.
Looking from early trend Chennai Express will break the opening weekend record by a big margin. Also, it looks like Ek Tha Tiger fastest 100 record in 5 days is in danger right now. Film has also opened well in Overseas with registering Historic Collection.
Coming to advance booking report for Saturday. It is very good from the latest received and from that trend numbers should be big for the day.
