Chennai Express has got record screens for Thursday Paid Preview all India. Film is getting released all India on 8th August around 6 pm onwards. With so much buzz for the film, undoubtedly film screening from 6 pm onwards is justified. In fact many cinemas are reporting shows on the number of 10-12 even after 6 pm. Without doubt CE will break all previous records for Paid Preview by a big margin.
In Delhi Cinemas has got huge release on Paid Preview for example CineMAX: Pacific Mall, Subhash Nagar (12 Shows), DT Star Cinemas: Vasant Kunj (14 shows), DT Star Cinemas: Saket (12 shows), DT City Centre: Shalimar Bagh (8 Shows). This kind of shows are difficult to generate even by big films in a single day. Huh!
In Gurgaon also, Cinemas such as PVR: MGF Mall, Gurgaon, PVR has got 12 Shows, whereas Ambience Mall - Premiere 8 shows.
Coming to Mumbai Cinemas such as PVR: Phoenix, Lower Parel has got 11 shows, whereas Cinepolis: Neptune Magnet Mall, Bhandup(W) has got 11 shows and Movietime: The Hub, Goregaon has got 11 shows.
These are sort of records and story is same for A, B and C centers all India. Every big and small multiplexes are at least releasing 4-5 shows on Thursday as Paid Preview. Earlier Paid Preview for film was around 1 show or at most 2 shows that also in selected cinemas. With Chennai Express scenario is totally changed. Paid Preview of CE will start at 6 pm and last will start as late as midnight. In fact Paid Preview of Chennai Express can be renamed as Full India Release of Chennai Express from 6 pm onwards all India. As for Thursday collection it will be huge, but how much that is another question to be answered.
