Both Ramaiya Vastavaiya and D-Day has released today at Indian Box Office. Ramaiya Vastavaiya is a Romatic Comedy film starring Girish Kumar, Shruti Haasan, Sonu Sood and directed by Prabhudeva. Whereas D-Day is completely different genre starring Rishi Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Irrfan Khan, Huma Qureshi and Shruti Haasan and is a crime thriller.
Coming to the buzz of the film before the release. There is some kind of buzz for both the films, but can't be said great. As far as Opening in Box Office is concerned on Friday Morning, both film has started slowly in Morning shows. From early reports, D-Day has registered an occupancy of 15%. Whereas, Ramaiya Vastavaiya has registered a slightly better opening of around 15-20% as it stars newcomers in lead. But still opening is just below par. With such slow opening both film will definitely register growth through the day. But will that be enough to collect a decent total for first day is another big question.
Both film will depend on word of mouth power of the film and if that is good then expect business to multiply through the weekend. There is also another hurdle called Bhaag Milkha Bhaag which is flying at the moment in the box office, which might dent the business of both the above mentioned films. BMB has able to retain a very good number of screens and it might again be the first choice for moviegoers in this weekend also.
