Himmatwala ride on Single Screen power on Friday, which helped it to cross 11 crore nett mark on opening day. But it had big fall in Single Screen market on Saturday and hence, overall collections registered a drop of around 20-30% all India. Himmatwala collected around 8.75-9 crore nett on 2nd day at the box office. Rarely a film registers drop on Saturday in comparison to Friday. This suggest that Himmatwala is badly rejected by audiences and it is on its way to downhill all the way.
Himmatwala total collection after two days is around 20.25-20.5 crore nett mark. It will struggle to go pass through 30 crore nett mark in its opening weekend. This is really disappointing considering it is a Ajay Devgn starrer.
Himmatwala on Saturday started on same range as on Friday in multiplexes with occupancy of around 30%. But it failed to show any major jump there. But major problem is that Himmatwala started slowly and finished with occupancy of 30% in single screens also. Himmatwala performed well in single screen on Friday which boost its collection, but it was not the case for Saturday. Overall occupancy for the 2nd day was around 30% all India.
With fall on Saturday it looks highly improbable that Sunday will show any big jump. Even touching Friday figure will be difficult now. Family audiences who generally comes out on Sunday may save the day for the film. But from Monday it will struggle big time at the box office for sure. Forget 100 crore now, even a 70-80 crore nett mark is looking difficult at the moment.
Collection Breakup -
Friday - 11.4 crore nett.
Saturday - 8.75-9 crore nett (Estimates).
Total - 20.15-20.4 crore nett.
