Himmatwala First Day Box Office Collection. Detailed Report.

Himmatwala has collected around 11.5 crore nett on Friday at the box office. Thus it is the second biggest opener of the year after Race 2 (15.1 crore nett) and 17th biggest opener of all time. Also, it is the second biggest opener of Ajay Devgn starrer just missing Bol Bachchan opening day mark (12 crore nett).

Collections are decent for the opening day considering the slow start it registered on Friday Morning shows. Himmatwala started slowly in the morning shows with occupancy of around 25-30%. But it slowly gained momentum in Noon shows and finally registered a decent occupancy of 50% for the evening and night shows. Overall occupancy for the opening day was around 35-40% on average across all India.

Single Screen business was rocking all India with occupancy of around 50% for the opening day. Multiplex business was slow with overall occupancy for the day was around 28-30%. Film did good business in UP, Bihar, CI and specially mass dominated centers. Mumbai circuit business was decent. Business in Delhi, East Punjab and Rest of India is below par.

Overall Himmatwala ride on single screen power on Friday. It needs same kind of business from single screens on Saturday also to have some kind of good numbers at the box office. Multiplex business will certainly be good on Saturday as weekend is approaching and as Friday business was below par. From the start Himmatwala first weekend collection is heading for 35-40 crore nett mark.
