Yash Raj Films launches "YRF Entertainment", Hollywood - based company.
Uday Chopra has announced the formation of YRF Entertainment, a Hollywood-based production and financing company focused on developing and producing feature films for the U.S. and international marketplace. The company is launched and funded by Yash Raj Films, (yashrajfilms.com) the 41-year old studio that was founded by Yash Chopra, and continues to be one of India's most prolific film producers and distributors. Uday Chopra will serve as CEO of YRF Entertainment and has hired Jonathan Reiman to head development and production under him.

Chetan Bhagat's 'Revolution 2020' will soon be converted into a Movie. UTV Bags Rights.
UTV Motion Pictures has acquired the movie rights of the book 'Revolution 2020' written by Mr. Chetan Bhagat and they are planning to made into an epic drama, narrating the story of three friends -- Gopal, Raghav and Aarti, who struggle to find success and love in Varanasi. Chetan Bhagat's earlier books "Five Point Someone" and "One Night @ the Call Center" have already inspired movies, and his other two books - "The 3 Mistakes of My Life" and "2 States: The Story of My Marriage" are also set to be converted.
Now Bhagat is excited about the big screen version of "Revolution 2020", which hit the stands in October this year. The film takes a look at corruption in the non-elite institutes in the Indian education sector with a love story in the backdrop. "Yes, UTV finally managed to seduce me. A great offer, immense excitement about the story and a wonderful team with a track record makes me feel they can do justice to 'Revolution 2020', a story very close to me and the readers' hearts," Bhagat said in a press statement.

Rockstar has collected very good 5.75 crore nett all India as per early estimates on Monday. Rockstar had a drop of 40-50% on average at the multiplexes, which is pretty normal. Single Screen business is very poor on Monday. Business is specially outstanding in high end multiplexes, which is helping the figures of Rockstar immensely. Rockstar is holding very well on opening Monday, which is good news for Team Rockstar. From now on Rockstar business is mainly dependent on mulitplexes and single screen business will only add up to the total. Occupancy on Monday at multiplexes is around 40-50% on average all India, which is mindblowing considering weekdays.
Rockstar Opening Weekend is 35+ crore nett. Rockstar Sunday Collection is 13+ crore nett.
As per early reports are coming Rockstar has collected 13+ crore nett (may be even touch 14 crore nett figure) all India on Sunday. So, Rockstar opening weekend total now stands at 35+ crore nett. Sunday showed jump of 20-25% on average from opening Friday. Rockstar is the biggest solo opener for Ranbir Kapoor.
Now from weekdays we will come to know how the film fares for coming weeks. As far as early trends and the after the bumper opening, Rockstar is going to be definite HIT and profitable venture for makers, exhibitors & distributors.

Ra.One collections at the Box Office is coming to an end. Ra.One has collected 121.5 crore nett all India at the end of 2nd week. 2nd week collection is 15.5 crore nett and the drop is humongous from 1st Week. Actually after the end of 1st weekend itself film registered drop each day. Also, the festive season and lots of holidays helped Ra.One to recover its money, otherwise it would have been a colossal disaster.

Ra.One collection drops. Distributors suffer, but Shahrukh Khan & Eros will make Money.
This article is totally based on trade inputs and there circuits results. As information coming from different trade and distributors after the end of 2nd weekend business, distributors are going to suffer, whereas makers will make money. While Ra.One couldn't boost its collections on 2nd weekend netting meagre 10 crore nett gross.
Veteran trade analyst Amod Mehra says, "Last Monday onwards, the numbers of the SRK-starrer have been falling like a landslide. This weekend saw it collect Rs 7 odd crore, but it's not good enough to put the film into big league."
Ra.One Second Monday Collection is 2.5 crore nett. Ra.One Total Collection is 118.8 crore nett.

David Dhawan has confirmed that Partner 2 is not happening anymore. It is widely speculated that the sequel to smash hit Partner which made the return of Govinda in a big way is on the way.
